Debra Havis Cockrell

After graduation, i went to Sfa and graduated from there in dec 1992 with a degree in early childhood education. i got married in June 13, 1993 to Johnny Cockrell from Joaquin, Tx. We do not have any children. We live on the same road i grew up(behind my Mom's house infact). I can literally walk thru the woods to Mom's house. We have 3 house dogs(our children). They think they are human of course. I subbed in schools in the area for 5 years and did not get a job anywhere so i interviewed at Shelby Savings Bank and got the job. I have been there 12 years now in the same department. i have seen many people come and go but i am happy where i am at.

if i could go back, i would go to play basketball. i do love to play. i just like sports period. i enjoy playing football with my cousins. We had fun at school my senior year. some would so i was serious all the time. i remember being in mrs. crawfords class and with mr wolfe's help our entire class hit from her. she went down the hall to look for us and we sneeked back into the room, turned all the chairs in the classroom the other direction and sat down and waited for her to come back. it was so fun. i also remember some of the boys picked up her chair with her in it and sat it out in the hall. it was all in good fun. she was a good sport about all the pranks. we could not have pulled some of them off without some help though. Namely Mr. Wolfe's help. I remember being in Mr. Wolfe's class and hating all the homework he gave us. Later i would appreciate all that homework in college when i had no problem understanding college algebra. i did not like math but it did come easily for me. i later sent him a thank you letter for preparing me for college. i remember mrs. franklin. she may have been the smallest person in the classroom but she did not let the big guys get the best of her. she taught english and we diagrammed sentences alot. i loved to diagramm sentences and hated literature.
