Funeral services for Thomas Glenn Cozart, 85, of Garrison will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 19 at Garrison Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Timpson.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2pm at the funeral home.

Born December 29, 1936, in Timpson, Texas, Thomas Cozart was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Cozart and Lona Adelle (Wilson) Cozart. He graduated from Timpson High School in 1956 and loved to play Football under those Friday Night Lights! Tom received an Honorable Discharge from the NATIONAL GUARD OF TEXAS and as a RESERVE of the US Army on the 3rd day of May 1956. He married the love of his life, Patty Rausch, in June of 1958. After 45 years of service, Thomas retired in 2007 as a PetroChemical OTR Truck Driver from Enterprise Transportation Company. 

Tom loved his wife and children, football, trucking, westerns, hosting family reunions, collecting pennies with his wife, Chevrolets, fishing, listening to George Jones, and being a Papaw. Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thomas was a member of Brileytown Baptist Church in Garrison, Texas.                                                 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Pat Cozart of Garrison; Daughter, Vicki Cozart-McNulty and Fiance Roger Shaffer of Henrietta, Texas;  Son, Terry Cozart and wife Jamie Cozart of Houston, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Baker and husband Jarrod Baker of Alvin, Texas; Leslie Marie McNulty of Garrison, Texas; 4 Great Grandchildren Zoey Graves, Gunner Baker, Bailey Baker, and Madelyn Hernandez;  Brother, Billy Cozart and wife Diane Cozart of Spring, Texas;  Sister, Sue Cozart Stilley of Timpson.  Also, numerous family and friends and nieces and nephews.

Thomas is preceded in death by his son, Steven (Steve) Clark Cozart; brothers, Elton Cozart, Jerry Cozart, Wilson Cozart, Kenneth Cozart, and sister; Sadie Mae Cozart Burgay.

The family would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors, and staff at Nacogdoches Medical Center for their care of Mr. Cozart.  Special thanks go out to Garrison Funeral Home and TriState Vacuum and Rental LLC. for giving Mr. Cozart his last ride.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Shaffer, Timmy Gaddy, Fernando Bryant, Terry Cozart, Mike Cozart, Tom Ratcliff, Johnny Burgay, Ronnie Hooker, Jarrod Baker, and Gunner Baker.
