Virginia Floyd - Class Of 1965 VIEW PROFILE

Our sweet Mother, Nana and sister left her earthly body on February 3, 2022 after a battle with cancer.  Virginia Floyd Alexander was born in Center Texas on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1946 to Cecil Floyd and Bette Steele.  Raised in the Methodist Church, she was a member in the choir.  In her younger years, Mom was a restaurant owner and later found her true calling taking care of the elderly.  She was a CNA, director of an Alzheimer’s home and a caregiver the last 40 years of her life until she retired.  Mom had a gift loving and caring for her patients and their families.  She was a wonderful mother and nana who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with all of us.  Her favorite Bible verse was Mark 8:36; “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rick Lynn Shepherd.  She is survived by her daughters, Angela Alexander Holliman, Julie Alexander Jones and husband Clint Jones.  Grandchildren Joshua Mosby, Marisa Mosby, Chelsea Moon, Ashleigh Davis and Savannah Jones and her great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Lily, Julian, Giovanni, Noah, Alexander, Travis, Ruby, and Ava.  And her brother, Donn Shepherd.

She is survived by her family that will feel her loss daily, but we will continue to be embraced in her warmth and love.  Forever lead and protected by her guiding light.  She was, and always will be, watching over all of us.
