Dallas Morning News, The (TX) — Saturday, June 26, 1993

Tom Galbreath, a retired general advertising supervisor for The Dallas Morning News, died Friday at Arlington Memorial Hospital of a heart attack. He was 68.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington. Burial will be in Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington.

After graduating from Timpson High School in Timpson, Mr. Galbreath went to work as a mail clerk at The News. He worked his way up to supervisor for general advertising, retiring in 1986 after 42 years.

"The time he worked there was probably more important to him than anything,' said his wife, Sue Galbreath of Arlington. "I've never seen a person so involved in a newspaper in all my life.

"Everyone always said he was good-natured, jolly.'

Mr. Galbreath also enjoyed baseball, football and fishing, she said.

Other survivors include two daughters, Vicki Moore and Donna Smith, both of Arlington; two sisters, Ardath Bailey of Dallas and Glaython Bussy of Timpson; and two grandchildren.
