Ada Mae Compton was born on January 28, 1918 in Timpson, Texas to parents Joe Compton and Vera Compton.  She had three sisters, Fairy Compton, Josephine Compton, and Mary Jo(Skeeter) Compton.  Ada graduated from Timspon High School in 1935 where her father was/had been superintendent of the school.  She married a doctor from Shreveport, LA and they lived in Shreveport.  The had at least one daughter, Louis Whittington who was born in 1946 .  Ada husband, Robert, passed away in 1958.  Ada died on December 15, 1998 in Bossier City, LA.  She was laid to rest in the Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.
