Ida E Parker

Ida Elaine Parker, 66, passed away on November 6, 2015 at the Nacogdoches Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m.

Ida Elaine Parker, also known as Aunt Lane or Momma Lane, was the daughter of Arvel and Dorothy Pate. She married Butch Parker July 23, 1967 in Timpson, Texas. They lived their married life in Mexia, Texas after his completion of his Navy Services. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Elaine and Butch lovingly raised a son and daughter of their own and multiple children they took in and cared for as their own. Anyone that knew Elaine knew that she would provide you with a meal and a place to stay if needed. She was a very loving and nurturing woman who enjoyed every minute she could spend with her many family members. She loved everyone unconditionally. Elaine enjoyed sewing and had a great love of dogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Butch Parker; parents, Arvel and Dorothy Pate; brother, Michael “Bubba” Pate; granddaughter, Megan Mason and niece, Christie Elaine Kitchens.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Parker of Mexia, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Mason & husband, Bailey of Teague, Texas; adopted daughter in spirit, Trish Walker and adopted son in spirit, Tommie Reed; brothers, David Pate, & wife, Debra, Danny Pate & wife Sue (whom was also a special friend), Timmy Pate & wife, Cheryl, Jeff Pate & wife, Cindy all of Timpson; sisters, Arlene Horton & husband, Hal of Timpson, Pam Faucett & husband Jimbo of Timpson and Susan Naron of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Trent Mason and Hailey Mason both of Teague, Shawn Parker of Houston, Dustin Parker and Callie Parker both of Centerville, Blake Lupo and Jared Parker of Waco; 11 great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Pearl Parker of Mexia, Texas; special daughter-in-law, Shauna Bowen and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Shawn Parker, Dustin Parker, Trent Mason, Matt Pate, Jeremy Hammers and Ivy Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Tommie Reed and Sonny Kitchens.
