Durwood E. Neal was born on March 22, 1925 to parents Frank and Elizabeth L. Warren Neal.  .  He had one sister, Florane Neal according to the 1940 Census.  The family lived on the Old Arcadia Road.    He graduated from Timpson High School in 1943. Durwood served as a Private in the Army during WWII.  Not much is known of Durwood at this time.  He died on July 25, 1998 and was laid to rest in the Plesant Grove Cemetery near Center.
