Mars Dickerson - Class Of 1943 VIEW PROFILE

Mars Dickerson, 50, of Port Orchard, Washington, formerly of Timpson, died unexpected after suffering an apparent heart attack while cutting wood in the yard of his home.  Services with military honors were held at the First Methodist Churc, Bremerton, Washington, under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home. 

Mr. Dickerson was born November 19, 1926 in Joaquin, Texa, and grew up in Timpson wehre he was a memberof the First Christian Church andof the Boy Scout Troop 113.  He was a graduate of Timpson High School. 

He served for twenty-three years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as lieutenant in 1966.  Following his dischargehe began work with Lockheed Space adn Missile Company at Bangor.

At the time of his death, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bremerton, the Retired Officers' Association , and the Masonic Lodge of New London, Conn.

Mr. Dickerson is survived by his wife, Marie; one son, David, 11; one daughter, Nancy, age 13; and his mother, Mrs. Clara Maude Hall of Carthage, Texas.
