Ellis Holloway Lilly, Jr., was born on October 4, 1935 to parents Elllis Holloway Lilly and Savannah Yarborough.  He had one sister, Patsy Marie Lilly (1932-1991) and three half siblings, Lois Hairston, Leonard Hairston and Elmer Lester Hairston.  E.H. graduated from Timpson High School in 1943 where he played football.  After graduation he lived in Longview where he worked for LeTourneau as mechanic and electrician. Ellis passed away at the age of 59 n June 9, 1985. He was laid to rest in the Elderville Cemetery in Rusk County, TX.
