Oxsheer Lowrance - Class Of 1935 VIEW PROFILE

William Oxsheer "Ox" Lowrance, 86, of Groves, TX died Friday, January 17, 2003 at Mid Jefferson Hospital in Nederland, TX. He was a native of Garrison, TX and a resident of Groves for 54 years. He was a retired Switchman from Kansas City Southern Railway with 42 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Groves and Stephen F. Austin Letterman's Club. He served in the National Guard during World War II. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2003 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, TX with Rev. David Porterfield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, TX. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Lowrance of Groves; three sons, William Lowrance of Nederland, Thomas Lowrance of Groves, Jim Lowrance and his wife Beverly Lowrance of Nederland; four sisters, Iva Bell Lowrance of Timpson, Joy Wright of San Antonio, Grace Pickens of Pleasanton, and Sophia Hancock of Center; one brother, Robert Lowrance of Hawkins; two grandchildren, Reed Lowrance of League City and Haley Spell of Nederland; and one great granddaughter Sullivan Spell. Pallbearers will be William Lowrance, Thomas Lowrance, Jim Lowrance, Reed Lowrance, Brian Spell, and Jeff Greenway. Honorary Pallbearers are W.F. (Mack) McEachern, Andy Larson, and Gerald Theriot.
