James Dale Smith was born on January 12, 1915 to parents James Homer Smith and Pearl Jane Nix.  He had at least several siblings, Bessie N. Smith, Marselle Smith, Sterling Smith, Joy Smith and Roy Smith.  We are not quiet sure if these names are correct or if the number is correct.  He attended Timpson HS we know and would have graduated aroung 1932 based on his age.

James died in Houston on May 16, 2007 and was laid to rest in Nacogdoches.
