Carl attended the Timpson schools as a kid.  He did not graduate however.  He died in automobile accident on October 23, 1970 when he was 39 years old and is buried in the Dixon Cemetery in Weaver.

His parents were Ethel and Ellis Stokes.  Carl had  six brothers and sisters who are deceased now.  They were: Cecil, Alton, Felix, Sudie, Joslyn, Macy, Doris.

Carl lived his entire lfie around Timpson at the old Stokes oldplace out in Blair.  He worked as a painter adn roofer.  He played the guitar and liked to sing country music. He was never married and had no children. (The inforamtion was given to us by his nephew, Bobby Stokes)/
