Horace Edgar "Speedy" Ramsey was born September 10, 1910 om Beuna Vista near Timpson, Texas to parents John "Ross" Bascom Ramsey and Edith Bertha Morrison.  We believe he graduated from Timpson High School around 1929 as his name is listed on the fall of 1928 football roster for the Bears. He had at least nine siblings, Lois Rebecca Ramsey (1896-1904), Pearl Dewey Ramsey (1898-1900), Mary Dee Ramsey (1900-1986), John Talmage Ramsey (1902-1967), Edith Levinia Ramsey (1905-1993), Joseph Bascom Ramsey (1907-1973), Morris Edward Ramsey (1910-1910), Rachel Lenora Ramsey (1912-2001) and Thomas Preston Ramsey (1916-1988).

At the age of he was living in Timpson but at the age of 29 he was living in Hopkins, Texas and was married. We believe to Lilie Marie Braden (1907-1997).  Horace passed away on April 2, 1997 in Pearland, Texas.
