Elvis (Circa 1921) Perry - Class Of 1921

We know that Elvis attended Timpson High School and played in the first football game that Timpson ever had. We do not know the year he graduated or for that matter if he graduated but based on his birthdate and football bio it would have been around 1921.

 

Elvis Edward Perry, age 89, of Burnet, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 11, 1992.

Mr. Perry was born on August 15, 1902 in Timpson, Texas, the son of Charles Henry Perry and Mary Morrison. He was formerly of Port Arthur for 40 years where he worked for 40 years where he worked for Texaco. Although Mr. Perry never served in the active military, he retired as a Colonel in the Texas State Guard.  He was member of the Buchanan Lions Club, Buchanan Art Club, as well as the Burnet  Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Perry was member ofthe Firsrt Untied Methodist Church in Burnet.

Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Clara Perry of Burnet; one sone, Jack Perry of Burnet;  one sister, Mae Delle Cornelius of Timpson; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and number of relatives.

Services for Mr. Perry will be held Friday, August 14, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clements-Wilcox Chapel in Burnet with Rev. Sid Spiller officiating.  Interment followed at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
