Norris Todd died from injuries received in a sawmill. Somehow Norris had "become entangled in a saw which he was operating in a mill in the Tennessee community. His arm was severed, his shoulder badly cut and one of his ribs was cut in two. He also received serious injuries about the head." Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Center.
