Jane Craig (Shaw) - Class Of 1933 VIEW PROFILE

Memorial services for Jane Craig Shaw, 92, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 in the Henderson Chapel of Lufkin's First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Shaw was born April 25, 1917, and she passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010. She was the only child of Grace and James Nolan Craig.

Jane was a lifelong, faithful Methodist, and was an active member of Lufkin's First United Methodist Church for many years. "Honey" was devoted to her family. Nothing pleased her more than when her whole family would come to Lufkin for visits and the holidays. Everybody loved going to her festively decorated home on Sherwood Drive for Christmas. Honey loved all of God's creatures and contributed frequently to the Humane Society.

She is survived by her daughters, Sally Allen and Sandy Lea; her granddaughters, Amy Allen, Katie Mullin and Jane Haas; and great grandchildren, Cooper Mullin and Elizabeth Haas. Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Arnold Claude Shaw.

Honey's family greatly appreciates Connie Thomas, who loved and cared for their mother/grandmother for many years. Connie's unyielding devotion to Honey will never be forgotten. The family also thanks the employees of Pinecrest for their loving care of Honey.
