Harold Beasley - Class Of 1929 VIEW PROFILE

We believe this is correct. Harold was born in Timpson and graduated in 1929.  During WWII he served in the Army Air Corp.and was captured by the Japanese Army in the Phillipines.  He survived the Bataan "Death March" and Corregidor then to Cabanatuan Prison Camp.  After three years he was freed by U.S. Rangers.He owned a filling station and retired in 1985.  He was survived by his wife, Natalie Harrison Beasley and daugther.  He was laid to rest in the Gilmer City Cemetery.  (Information from TAGHG obit book)
