Funeral for Jack Shepherd Ramsey, 78, of Lufkin and formerly of Timpson will be at 11 a.m. today, at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Clark Stricklin officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery. Ramsey died Saturday, December 11, 2004, at Memorial Specialty Hospital in Lufkin Born Nov. 25, 1925, in Shelby County, he was the son of Zed B. Ramsey and Beulah Shepherd Ramsey. He was retired from Natural Gas Pipeline of America. He was a member of the American Legion and a Methodist. He was married to Louise Eakin Ramsey of Lufkin and she survives him. In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters, Barbara Coker of Spring Lake and Janet Twining of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. today. Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
