Charles Wayne Smith graduated in 1942 fromTimpson High School and went to World War II in the Army.  After the war he attended the University of Texas Dental School.  He was known for his excellence work in the field of dentistry.  He married Lamar Jones of Houston.  He loved to farm owning several farms. He and Lamar lived in River Oaks and raised their children there.  Charlie passed away on August 6, 1976.
