Tommy Hairston was born October 18, 1924.  According to the 1930 Census at the age of five he was living in his grandparents house, George E. Hairston and Allie Hairston.  We believe his mother, Dorothy was also living in the house. His father, Thomas Earl Hairston, Sr. died in 1928.  Tommy grandfather,George, was a doctor.  Tommy or Thomas Earl Hairston graduated from Timpson High School in 1942.  Not much is known until his death.  He died on June 24, 2006 in Mansfield, Texas.  Thomas was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.
