Joe Leverette Bussey was born on January 16,1925 in Timpson, Texas to parents Frank Rather Bussey and Maude Rockwell Willis. He had at least four siblings, Frank Rather Bussey, John Willliam Bussey, Margaret Busseyand Daniel Rockwell Bussey. Apparently Margaret died the same year she was born.  Frank and Daniel also became doctors in addition to Joe!!

Joe graduated from Timpson High School in 1942.  Records show he became a doctor.  On January 26 2010 Joe passed away in Parker County, Texas and was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cmetery in Timpson, Texas.
