Anna Louisa Bolton was born on December 26, 1916 in Garrett Springs, Panola, TX to aprents John Thomas Bolton and Alcie Ettolee Tompkins.  She had at least six siblings, Irene L. Bolton (1911-1989), Velma Bolton (1914-2010), Mary Lee Bolton (1921-1945), Hazel Marlene Bolton (1926-2001), Venneta Ruth Bolton (1929-1981) and George William Bolton (1945-2002).

Anna graduated from Timpson High School in 1936.  On October 9, 1937 she married Wylie Eugene Butler in Timpson, Texas.  According to the 1940 census they were living in Timpson, Texas.  They had at least one child, Thomas Ferrell Butler, Sr. who was born in 1938.  Thomas died in 1965.

Anna husband, Wylie passed away in 1972 and is buried in the Blair Cemetery near Timpson.  Anna passed away on February 26, 2006 and was laid to rest in the Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery in Webster.
