Not much is known of Roland Darnell.  According to the 1920 Census, he was living with his parents in Shelby County. We believe his parents were R.I. Darnell and Lolla Darnell.  It appears he had two siblings, Moselle Darnell and E. Darnell.  He graduated from Timpson High School in 1937.  In 1940 the Census show he was living in a boarding house and working. He did serve in the Navy.   He passed away in 2012 in Tyler, Texas.
