We are not sure this information is correct for Bob Bates so further research is recommended before using for any work.  We believe Bob A. Bates was born on December 29, 1918 to parents Wade and Mattie Bates. He had at least two siblings, Lweis Bates and Mildred Bates.  He may have graduated or would have graduated from Timpson High School in 1937,  The 1940 census record shows him completing only two years of high school. 

Bob enlsied in the Army Air Corp on January 5, 1942 at which time he was single.  After his service he worked at Reed Roller Bit in Hosuton.  On May 14, 1946, Wade was invovled in an automobile accident on the Katy Highway near Houston.  He passed away on May 15, 1946 from traumatic injuries to his chest.  Bob was laid to rest in the Corinth Cemetery near Timpson.
