Jewell Evelyn Lane was born on May 28, 1921 in Shelby County, Texas to parents Charles and Leatrice Lane.  She graduated from Timpson in 1940.  She married Truman E. Gunter in 1943 in Center, Texas. She died on October 14, 1995 and was buried in the Tennessee Community Cemetery near Timpson.
