Eugene D. Tyer was born on January 3, 1912 to parents W.R. Tyer and Rachel Hughes Tyer.  We believe he had four siblings, Celeste Tyer,Barksdale Tyer, Salee Tyer and Leonard Tyer.  Eugene graduated from Timpson High School in 1931.  He graduaed in 1931 from Timpson High School and was married to Lottie Estelle Rhodes Tyer.  They had at least two children, Paula Gene Tyer and Edward Lynn Tyre.  Eugene died on January 6, 1955 in Jefferson County, Texas and was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson.
