Dorothy Willis was born on February 9, 1914 in Timpson, Texas to parents James Wilson Willis and Carrie Leona Bryan.  According to the 1920 Census, we believe she had five siblings.  They were: Blanch Willis, Emma Jean Willis, Marjorett Willis,and James Willis.  She graduated from Timpson High in 1931.  According to her death certificate she was a housewife living in Houston at the time of her death.  Her married name was Dorothy Burt.  She died on April 20, 1979.
