Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Hammer Rhodes, 79, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Timpson, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 15, in Taylor Funera Home Chapel in Timpson.  Rev. Lee Sailors, pastor of Beuna Vista Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Beuna Vista Cemetery in Shelby County.

Mrs. Rhodes died Wednesday, Jan. 13, in North Place Nursing Center in Nacogdoches.

She was a native of Timpson, born May 3, 1913.  Her parents were Roy and Euna Ross Hammer.  A homemaker, she was the widow of Aubrey Rhodess.

Mrs. Rhodes is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Virginia Rhodes of Houston; granddaughter, Amy Stipe of San Antonio; and one grreat grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Leon Hairgroe, Mike Ross, Robert Bryan, Tom Loukas, J.L. Jolly, and Charlie Rhodes.

Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
