Donald Wall - Class Of 1966

Don transferred to Center around the sixth grade from Timpson.  He played football there and then attended SFA before joining the Army where he was a drill instructor.  He was devoted to police work. He loved cars and fishing also.  Before his death he worked on the Lufkin 911 Call System.  The dispatch system in Lufkin was renamed in his honor and is known as as the James D. Wall Communication Center.


Lt. James D. Wall age 47 a 24 year veteran of the Lufkin Police Department passed away Dec. 5th, 1995. Lt. Wall served as a drill sergeant in the U.S. Army Military Police during the Vietnam era.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter Jennifer; three sisters, Janette Kirkley of Nacogdoches, Annette Murphy of Lufkin, Tommie Adams of Timpson, two brothers; Leon Frazier of Hughes Springs, and Bill Shadowens of Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
