Robert Glyn “Bob” Hughes, 79, of Center, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches. He was born November 30, 1933 in Timpson to Vause Hughes and Jewell Crump Hughes. Mr. Hughes served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Gary Hagler officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Center.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ramsey, Lester Hughes, Robert Ramsey, Brent Hughes, Tom H. Collins and Bobby Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Chili Jones, Ben Clifton, Leroy Terry, Joe Ford, Doyle Luman, Chester Mills, Jessie Mims, Lowell Cooper, John Schoenrock, Johnny Covington and Jason Covington.

Son: Lance Hughes and wife, Bridget of Timpson

Granddaughter: Holly Colleen Hughes of Timpson

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives
