SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Mrs. Rosia E. Kidd, 80, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2010, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rosia was born September 3, 1929, to the late Willie and Rose Coston Williford and passed away on Friday, January 1, 2010. Rosia was a retiree of South Central Bell Telephone Co., a devoted wife to her late husband, James Austin "Jim" Kidd, and a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Billy Richard Baker, Jr.; grandson, Brandon Elkins; brothers, Monroe Hall, Leon Williford, Woodrow Williford, and Douglas Williford; sisters, Maureen Bauer, Nadine Harris, Leola Lilly, and Gladys Stilley. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Burnley and husband, Kim, and Deborah Kidd; sons, Dennis Baker and wife, Cindy, and Kenneth Baker; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Life Care Specialty Hospital and to Heritage Manor South, where Rosia was a resident.
