Mrs. Claudene Peavy, 81, of Nacogdoches, formerly of San Augustine, passed away late Thursday evening, May 20, 2010, at a hospital in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Claudene was born to Lois (Lilly) Powers and Claude Powers on April 21, 1929, in Timpson, Texas. She was employed as a Secretary working in the Insurance Company for many years.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m., May 23, 2010, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine, with interment following in the Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens in San Augustine. Officiating will be Bro. Buddy Pratt, and Bro. Doug Fincher.
Visitation will be from the hours of 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia St., San Augustine.
Her survivors include: Daughters: Debbie Clark of Friendswood, Gayle Muckleroy and her husband, Gary of Nacogdoches. Grandchildren: Kent Birdwell, Kelly Griffey, Nathan Clark, Natalee Clark, Steve Clark and James Clark along with 11 Great-Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Clark, James Clark, Kent Birdwell, Hollis Peavy, Buddy Kennemer and Rusty Adcock
