Services for LaVera Ann Hutsell, 71, of Katy,were held Tuesday, July 3, 2001 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson.  Rev. Nick Sholars officiated.

Mrs.Hutsell passed away June 30, 2001 at Spring Branch Medical Center in Houston.  She was born November 23, 1929 in Timpson to William Irvin and Vera (Dorsey) Bailey.  Mrs. Hutsell was a school and music teacher.  She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Katy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Sherrill Bailey; brother-in-law, Arthur Horton, and grandson Seth Havers.

She is survived by: Suzanne Miller and husband Jim of Houston, Cynthia Hepler and husband Mike of Houston, and Jean Ann Mohwinkel and husband Bobby of Houston; sister, Irene Horton of Timpson, grandson, Matt Havers of Houston.
