Bennie Carroll Grant was born on July 16, 1931 in Shelby County Texas.  He graduated from Timpson High School in 1951.  He was a PFC in the Army.  Bennie passed away on January 18, 2006 and was laid to rest in the Strong Cemetery in Shelbyville, Texas.
