Robert Joe Scott

Robert Joe was a heavy equipment most of his life.  He served in the Army reaching the rank of Master sergeant and was stationed in Korea.   He married Margaret Ann Frederick in 1953.  They had five children:  Robert Wayne Scott, James Alan "Bubba" Scott, Joan Scott, Rita Scott and Shirley Scott.  At the time of his death he was living in the Timpson area where he had lived most of his life.  On at least one occasion he did work in the Clute/Lake Jackson area.  Margaret Ann passed away in 2008.

 

Services for Robert Joe Scott, 67, of Timpson, were held at Good Hope Baptist Church in Timpson,June 29, 1998 with burial in Blair Cemetery.

He was a member and deacon of the Good Hope Baptist, the American Legion, and Masonic Lodge, and US Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Scott of Timpson;  other, Fannie Scott of Timpson; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Wayne and Diana Scott of Timpson, James Alan "Buba" Scott of Timpson; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Alan Hairgrove of Timpson, Rita and Danny Strahan of Timpson and Shirley and Steve Towns of Timpson; brother, Alvin "Bo" Scott of Timpson, sisters, Frances Hairgrove of Psadena and Glenda Oliver of Pollock; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Robert Hairgrove, Chrisitina Martinez, Vicki Scott.
