Cecial was born on February 27, 1933 and graduated in 1933 from Timpson High School. He served in the Marines in Korea.  Sadly he died in a plane crash on his way home from service on March 22, 1955.  Cecial is buried in the Corinth Cemetery.

Honoring the life and service to our country of US Marine Corps Veteran, Corporal CECIL ALLEN BRITTAIN on the 64th year of his passing.  Assigned to Headquarters Company, 1 Marine Division.  He was a passenger on-board US Navy NATS flight aircraft# 131612.  The aircraft impacted "Palikea" mountain just outside US Naval Magzine, Lualualei at 0216 am in the morning. There were no survivors.  1950 Graduate of Timpson High School.  Son of Aulie Hammers and Harvey Benjamin Brittain.  Buried in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Timpson, Texas.
