Freda A. Richard, 50, passed away on June 14, 2025. She was born to the late Alfred Dale Richard and Dorothy Ree Richardson-Richard on January 05, 1975. She was the fourth child born to this union.
Funeral service is at 11am on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Smith Chapel Baptist Church, 919 County Road 4704, Timpson, Texas with Reverend Mario Osby, Pastor; Superintendent Marvin Jackson I, eulogist; and Bishop Cedrick Grace, Sr., moderator. Public viewing will be from 11am until 6pm on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Community Funeral Home, in Timpson (Hwy 84 North). Interment is at Antioch Cemetery, Timpson.
She graduated from Timpson High School in Class of 1993. While at Timpson High School, she qualified for the state track meet in the 400m. She won it two years that she ran. She played the bass clarinet in the award-winning Timpson High School Military Marching Bear Band.
She attended Panola Jr. College after graduating from THS. She decided to serve her country in the Army Reserves.
When she ended her time in the reserves, she gave birth to her first daughter: Samaria Richard. Two years later she gave birth to her second daughter Dorothea Robberson.
She was a long-time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she sung in the choir. She later moved her membership to Clayton Temple C.O.G.I.C.. She was a faithful member even when her health started to fail her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Dale Richard; grandparents, Lucinda and Johnny Richard Sr., and Louise and George Richardson, Sr..
