Johnny died as the result of a motorcycle accident.  He was just starting to get a stable life when he was taken in the accident.  Johnny was artistically-talented, chaismatic personality that people gravitated toward.  He had an inclination to try anything to "try anything once;  twice if he didn't get caught" which at times got him into trouble.  He was only 29 when he died and, other than Bill Gates, how many people do you know that were established by 30?  Johnny was a product the times (the 60's didn't hit East Texas until the 70's).  He could pick up an instrument and make you think he had done it all his life.  Rest in Peace, Johnny.
