Memorial services for Cindy Ramsey, 58, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Lufkin's First Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Pittman and Reverend Aubrey Knox officiating. Mrs. Ramsey was born September 7, 1954 in Timpson, Texas to the late Edward N. and Betty J. (Youngblood) Prince, and died Friday, October 12, 2012 in a Houston hospital. A former resident of Conroe, Cindy had resided in Lufkin for 17 years. Mrs. Ramsey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an active member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church, and was very involved in The Mosaic Center of Lufkin. Mrs. Ramsey was also on the board of directors of Greyson's Place, a recovery residence for men. Survivors include her husband, Michael Ramsey of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Michael King of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Brittany Ramsey of Nacogdoches; grandchildren Greyson and Brayden King; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Renee Prince of Timpson and Robert and Nancy Ramsey of Houston; nieces Meredith Earnest and Rachel Ramsey; nephews, Blake Ramsey, Derrick Prince and Blake Prince; and a number of other family members and friends. Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Hospital Transplant Center, Attn: Susan Zylicz, 6565 Fannin, SM 1202, Houston, Texas 77030. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Lufkin's First Baptist Church Parlor.
