Kenneth Hairgrove

Coming up on 70 years of friendship. It was somewhere in the elementary grades that I remember this very bright, confident person named Kenneth who always found something humorous in whatever was happening at school.

Timpson is a small place but it has given us all some really good memories and you helped make those.

Kenneth.... Happy Birthday. The high school days memories are about among the most vivid for us. Here's to those we created while we were there. I hope you and your family are doing well. Bring me up to date when you get a chance.

I thought about you yesterday when I was over at UT Dallas for a board meeting. After all these years in business, I am getting a little taste of academia serving on the board of the Business School at UTD. I understand why your job was so fulfilling for so many years. I will guest lecture a class next week and will mentor a graduate student this semester.

Seventy years? Could it be? Yes, I think it has been. Groundhog Day this year is beautiful here--sunny and warm. Guess we'll have to prepare for at least 6 more weeks of winter, and that won't be too bad since, so far, we have hardly had winter at all. Thanks so much for your birthday note and good wishes. Kenneth.... In all these years -- probably 70 -- that I have known you, it never snapped that your birthday is groundhog day. I guess those of us who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Happy birthday to you again and I hope your day is free of shadows.

Hello, Loy Dean: Sorry we were unable to attend the class get-together at Doye's last month. Sarah had back surgery recently and she can't travel that far yet. She's improving but the recovery is a slow process.Glad to see the group photo in the Timpson paper; everyone looks very good! I wish you a very happy birthday tomorrow. --Kenneth
