Married in 1972, we have lived in several places over the years: Longview, Houston, Dallas, Chattanooga, TN and back to Timpson. Our children both graduated from THS. Our son and family live in Timpson and our daughter and family live in Center. We have 4 grandbabies: Zach, age 7, Asher, age 5, Paige, age 15 months and Sydney, age 8 Months. We have grandbaby number 5, a little boy (Gavin Konner) due on May 26, 2010.
My work experience has been mostly clerical. I was an administrative assistant for almost ten years while working for a pharmaceutical company in Dallas. After moving back to Timpson I was church secretary for FBC, Timpson for 4 1/2 years. We moved to Chattanooga, Tn in 2000 and remained there until the fall of 2003. While in TN I worked for Ruby Falls, a tourist attraction located on Lookout Mountain. It was at this point that I realized that I had truly found the job that I should have been doing all along. I worked in the gift shops at Ruby Falls and met some of the most fascinating, comical, outlandish, rude, friendly, people I have ever met. I was being paid to have a wonderful time every day. I met people from all over the world on a daily basis. There was never a dull moment at Ruby Falls! I will forever cherish the memories of my time there and would do it all over again if given the opportunity. My life now revolves mostly around my husband, kids, and grandbabies. The best part is having all of my grandbabies within "grabbing" distance.
