Jeaneva Wedgeworth

CARTHAGE — Jeaneva Ann Wedgeworth, 82, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Born on May 5, 1943, in the Corinth Community, she lived a life marked by resilience, warmth, and an unwavering spirit. Jeaneva graduated from Timpson High School and, at the age of 18, moved to Carthage to begin her professional journey. She launched her career at an insurance agency where she dedicated herself for an impressive 43 years. Through her work, she became a familiar and trusted presence in the community-someone who not only served with professionalism but also touched countless lives with her kindness and good humor. Known for her quick wit and joyful demeanor, Jeaneva had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcome. Her happy-go-lucky nature was matched by a sharp mind and a deep well of strength. She was self-reliant and resilient- qualities that defined her throughout her life. Whether solving problems with ease or facing challenges head-on, she did so with grace and determination. Family was at the heart of Jeaneva’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Belinda Parker and husband Scott; Mike, and the late Roxie Bostick. Grandchildren: Shelbi and husband Matt Pittman; Chase and Rileigh Parker; Jared and Natalie Bostick along with their children, Eliza and Ezra. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Zane and Jax Pittman; brothers-in-law: Jesse Pitts and Wayne Hodges and sister-in-law: Sue Wedgeworth. Jeaneva found joy in simple pleasures-sewing, cooking meals that brought loved ones together, attending her great-grandson’s baseball games with pride, and always finding ways to serve others. “She always wanted things to be done right (her way), so she often told you what to do and how to do it.” Her home was a place of laughter, conversation, and comfort-a reflection of the woman she was. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Corine Wedgeworth; and siblings, Margie, James, Bobbie, Clara, Marie, and Jeanette. Jeaneva loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. Throughout her life, Jeaneva faced extraordinary trials, including eight battles with cancer, yet she never allowed illness to define her. With unwavering trust in God, she met each day with grace, dignity, and a quiet courage that inspired everyone around her. Her faith carried her through the hardest moments, and her strength became a testimony of hope, perseverance, and love. She showed us all what it means to live fully, faithfully, and fearlessly, no matter the circumstances. Her joy, kindness, and invincible spirit will be forever cherished by those who knew her. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Corinth Cemetery with Hollis and Catherine Bass officiating. Burial will followed under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. An online guestbook can be signed at www.hawthornfuneralhome.com
