Ronnie N. Britton, 71, of Timpson, Texas, died September 8, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carroll W. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Center Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Hawthorn Funeral Home.

Mr. Ronnie Nathenial Britton was born January 7, 1943 in Shelby County, Texas. He was the only child born to the marriage of Garland and Bertie Mae Harris Britton. Ronnie was raised and schooled in Timpson graduating with the high school class of 1962.

He worked as a farmer and carpenter. Mr. Britton married Debbra Ann Fields December 12, 1987 and they celebrated 26 years together. Ronnie loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Britton is survived by his loving wife Debbra Britton of Timpson, mother Bertie Mae Britton of Timpson, mother-in-law and father-in-law, C.W. and Lucille Fields of Antioch, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Sarah Fields of Carthage, numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
