Funeral services for Billy Ray Ramsey, 68, of Quitman, are scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00PM at Lowe Funeral Home with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX. The Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, July 28th at the funeral home. 

Billy Ray was born May 31, 1948 in Center, TX to Melvin A. Ramsey and Mildred (Hammers) Ramsey and passed away July 26, 2016 in Tyler. He served in the US Air Force and was a retired oilfield electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jason Ramsey; sister Mary Ann Ramsey and cousin Jerry Hammers. Survivors include his wife Sherie Ramsey of Quitman and son Nathan Ramsey of Quitman. Three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Serving as pallbearers are: Ronnie Matheson, Braxton Beggs, Ethan Nance, Stacy Matheson, Caleb Click and Chance Gross.
