Obituary for Mr. Bobby Bushiey
Memorial services for Mr. Bobby Bushiey, 76, of Carthage, Texas will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Carthage Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Mr. Bobby Joe Bushiey was born September 3, 1943 in Garrison, Texas. He passed this life January 4, 2020, in Longview, Texas. Bobby was one of four children born to the marriage of Joseph Lewis and Flozell Powdrill Bushiey. He was raised in Timpson graduating high school with the Timpson class of 1961 and attended Panola College. He married Mary Grace Hughes and together they had two sons and celebrated over 30 years of marriage.
Mr. Bushiey was a licensed electrician but spent his career as a local businessman and entrepreneur. He loved football, many sports, and time with friends. He was a people person and encourager to many young people. He is preceded in death by his wife; brother, Charles Bushiey; and son, Jeffrey Bushiey.
Mr. Bushiey is survived by his devoted son, Joey Bushiey of Carthage; brother, Louis Bushiey and wife Vicky of Joaquin; sister, Beth York and husband Mickey of Greenville; a granddaughter he cherished, Kelsea Nicole Bushiey; and one great granddaughter, Karen Lynelle Servin. Many other relatives and a host of friends.
