Linda Eldridge Obituary

Graveside service for Linda Faye Eldridge, 81, of Lumberton will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Rollie Burr officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Taylor Funeral Home.

Ms. Eldridge passed away on July 1, 2024, in Lumberton.  She was born on September 19, 1942 in Port Arthur, TX to William Floyd Eldridge, Sr. and Sera Faye Whisenant Eldridge.  She went to high school in Timpson, TX where she was a drummer in the high school band and later graduated in 1961.  She worked for the United States Postal Service until retirement, serving as union president during her time there. Along with a love for helping others, Linda enjoyed working in her flower beds, sewing and cooking.  She felt that feeding her family was a great way to bring them all together.  She also had a great passion for decorating in preparation of, and then celebrating, the holidays.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelly Plunkett and husband Jason; son, Randy Ramsey; grandchildren Trevor Ramsey, Caitlin Schrank and husband, Zachary and Cameron Plunkett and great-grandchildren Rebecca Schrank and Ruby Schrank.  She is preceded in death by her parents, William Floyd and Sera Faye Whisenant Eldridge, Sr., as well as her brothers William Floyd “Bill” Eldridge, Jr. and David Eldridge.
