Mrs. Mabel Pace

Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel M. Pace, of Carthage, were held at 2 pm Friday, Jan. 1, 1988, at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Cantrelle officiating. Burial was held at Oddfellows Cemetery. Mrs. Pace, 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1987, at Huguley Hospital in Ft. Worth.

Born July 17, 1915 in Longbranch, she was the daughter of A. G. and Lula Jewell Roquemore Cassity. Mrs. Pace had been a resident of Panola County all of her life. She was a retired public school teacher and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the Retired Teacher's Association. Mrs. Pace was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Buddy Perdue of Burleson; one sister, Reba Neal of Marshall; and four grandchildren, Dirk, Cliff and Ken Perdue of Burleson, and Darla Herrin of Spokane, Wash.
