Barbara Edwards Crawford Obituary

Graveside services for Barbara Edwards Crawford, 78, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson, TX, with Bro. Orval Miller officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Crawford was born on November 28, 1946 in Nacogdoches, TX and passed away on June 17, 2025 in Nacogdoches, TX. 

Pallbearers:  Tyler Keegan, Ryan Rogers, Mark Solomon, Caden Solomon 

Barbara was born on November 28, 1946 in Nacogdoches, Texas.  She lived her first few months at the Hotel Wiley, in Garrison, Texas which was owned by her Grandfather Norman Morris Edwards and wife Mattie. 

She then moved with her mother, and daddy, Melvin and Jeanelle Tyer Edwards to Timpson, Texas 

She attended Timpson School from 1st -12th grade and later went to Panola College and Stephen F. Austin. 

Barbara worked for Walmart in Nacogdoches, Texas for 23 years until she finally retired due to her ongoing battle with diabetes and Parkinson Disease. 

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Annette Crawford Rogers and her son, John Darren Crawford. 

Grandsons Tyler Keegan and wife Malissa and Ryan Rogers, Great Grandson, Ashton Keegan, Sister, Belinda Edwards Solomon and husband Larry and brother William Melvin (Lum) Edwards, Pat Crawford, sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews, family and friends and her precious chiliweiner dogs, Jasmine (Jazzy Poo) and Willie (AKA Tasmanian Devil).  

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Garrett and Barbara Jeanelle Tyer Edwards and her 14 yr. old daughter Barbara Michele Crawford.
