O.W. Bussey, Jr “Bill” was born July 13, 1947  in Jacksonville, Texas to Ollie William Bussey and Clyde Reed Bussey.  O.W. and his parents lived in Timpson, Texas.   He graduated fromTimpson High School in 1965, and then went on to Stephen F. Austin State University where he graduated in 1969.  After graduating from Stephen F. Austin, he attended law school at the University of Houston.  He graduated law school, passed the bar and became an attorney (and a father) in 1972. 

O.W., was a successful attorney and practiced in Houston for 47 years. He then retired and spent his last five years in California.

O.W or “Bill” as he was known outside of Timpson, has five children Allison, Brady, Reed, Trey and Jeffrey.  And four grandchildren. Sarah, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Avery.  

He loved a good cigar and a Coors light, he loved to laugh, heloved to play golf, watch football, golf, and the news.  He loved and was so loved by his family; he was always so proud of where he came from.

He joined his parents in heaven on February 21, 2024, and was laid to rest back home in Timpson, at Woodlawn Cemetery
