We do not have any proof that Clyde ever attended Timpson High School but by reasoning it is assumed he did.

Clyde Russell Nichols was born on October 17, 1908 in Timpson, Texas to parents Joe Russell Nichols (1888-1936) and Mabel Clair Crawford (1883-1947).  Clyde at least four siblings.  Cleo Velma Nichols (1910-1983), Atty. Perry Augustus Nichols ((1915-1983), Maurine Elizabeth Nichols ((1918-1983) and Joe Russell Nichols (1923-1969),  By reasoning, we know that Clyde went on to college.  He lived in Timpson so therefore he had to attend THS as did we know for sure his sister and his brother. Based on his birthdate he would have graduated from Timpson around 1926.

Clyde served in the Army reaching the rank of Colonel.  He was married to Lucile A. Nichols (1912-2003).  Clyde died on April 25, 1988 and was laid to rest in the Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.
